01 / ABOUT
My work explores how languages are used, maintained and negotiated in multilingual families and educational settings.
I hold a PhD in Ukrainian Linguistics from Sorbonne Paris Cité (INALCO), awarded in 2020 and recognised in Norway by HK-dir in 2025. My research interests include family language policy, Ukrainian migration, heritage languages and multilingual education.
Alongside research, I teach languages and develop learning materials for different linguistic audiences.
I have worked with Norwegian since 2010, beginning as a translator in an international Norwegian company headquartered in Fredrikstad. For 15 years, I have taught Norwegian to English-, French-, German- and Russian-speaking learners. I also teach learners from Norway, and my research work is connected with Norway.
